    Job Title: Branch Manager

    Reports To: CEO

    FLSA Status: Exempt

    Summary: Manages retail store engaged in selling fasteners, tools and shop supplies by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate staff.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Plans and prepares work schedules and assigns employees to specific duties using good work flow management.

    Trains new staff on computer using the Prelude system.

    Maintains superior store appearance -- organization, cleanliness, merchandizing, etc.

    Responsible for building maintenance.

    Reviews, corrects and submits time clock information for payroll. Records and approves leave time for staff in the timekeeping system. Coordinates backup for absent staff.

    Supervises employees engaged in sales work, taking of inventories, reconciling cash with sales receipts, keeping operating records, or preparing daily record of transactions for Accounting, or performs work of subordinates, as needed.

    Responsible for tracking and maintaining proper inventory levels for the branch store.

    Ensures compliance of employees with established security, sales, and recordkeeping procedures and practices.

    Responsible for employee compliance with company’s seasonal dress code.

    Conducts performance evaluations for branch staff and documents performance issues.

    Actively and effectively promotes product knowledge improvement including application, features, and benefits of existing and new products.

    Answers customer's complaints or inquiries.

    Ensures the store is locked and secure.

    Education/Experience:

    Bachelors degree; and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of related education and experience. Management experience required, retail experience preferred.

    The (outside) Sales Representative position involves contacting existing and prospective customers at their place of business to assist them with the selection, purchase and application of a wide variety of fasteners, industrial hardware, tools, and maintenance and shop supplies. The successful candidate must demonstrate exceptional sales skills, customer service skills, time management skills, and be extremely well organized and self motivated. The position requires exercising planning and judgment to accomplish assigned goals. The position reports to the Regional Outside Sales Manager.

    Specific duties of the position include:

    • Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with new and existing customers.

    • Interacting with existing customers to increase sales of company products.

    • Ensuring products and services consistently satisfy customer needs

    • Writing and processing customer orders.

    • Delivering and putting away orders, which involves lifting and carrying of products from truck to customer bin locations.

    • Installing new bins and storage equipment at customer locations.

    • Developing new business prospects within an assigned geographic area through cold calling.
