Job Summary:
This position will assist customers with the selection and application of a wide variety of fasteners, industrial hardware, tools, and maintenance and shop supplies.
Typical industries include transportation-heavy equipment, maintenance and repair departments, sand/gravel pits, and machine shops.
The successful candidate must demonstrate exceptional sales skills, customer service skills, time management skills, and be extremely well organized and self-motivated.
Counter Sales Associate Requirements:
Experience in the retail industry (ex: Over counter sales, Cashier Experience, Building Customer Relations)
At least one year of retail experience preferred
Counter Sales Associate Responsibilities:
Respond to walk-in and telephone customer inquiries including:
Product knowledge, special product requests, product pricing
Writing orders using Prelude software system
Product knowledge consists of:
Identifying customers product
Clarifying requirements and specs
Locating and retrieving products
Finalizing transaction, and
Assisting in the shipment of product if needed
Develops and maintains favorable relationships with new and existing customers
Interacts with existing customers to increase sales of the Company’s products and services

The (outside) Sales Representative position involves contacting existing and prospective customers at their place of business to assist them with the selection, purchase and application of a wide variety of fasteners, industrial hardware, tools, and maintenance and shop supplies. The successful candidate must demonstrate exceptional sales skills, customer service skills, time management skills, and be extremely well organized and self motivated. The position requires exercising planning and judgment to accomplish assigned goals. The position reports to the Regional Outside Sales Manager. This is an exempt position.
Specific duties of the position include:
• Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with new and existing customers.
• Interacting with existing customers to increase sales of company products.
• Ensuring products and services consistently satisfy customer needs
• Writing and processing customer orders.
• Delivering and putting away orders, which involves lifting and carrying of products from truck to customer bin locations.
• Installing new bins and storage equipment at customer locations.
• Developing new business prospects within an assigned geographic area through cold calling.
