80 years of trust,
built one branch at a time.
Locally owned since 1946. Today, Tacoma Screw serves over 40,000 business accounts across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana, with Utah on the way.
Built on service, growth, and trust.
Tacoma Screw Products is a locally owned and operated industrial distributor, founded in Tacoma, Washington in 1946. Eighty years later, we remain in family ownership, in the same city we started in, with the same focus on getting industrial customers the parts they need.
We distribute fasteners, tools, and maintenance, shop, and industrial supplies, more than 45,000 products in stock, served from a 90,000+ square foot distribution center and 21 branch locations across four states.
Our customers come from every corner of the working economy: manufacturing, construction, transportation, aerospace, maritime, agriculture, food processing, and every level of government.
What sets us apart isn't the inventory, it's the people. Counter staff who know your facility. Sales reps who come to your shop. Purchasing agents who track down the obsolete part. Machine shop fabricators who make the one-off bolt. Distribution staff who fill the order accurately and ship it on time. That's the whole company, in one sentence: people who do the work right.
Our Five Fundamentals of Service.
Five principles guide how we show up with each other, with our partners, and with every customer who calls. They've stayed the same for decades, and they shape every decision we make.
Eighty years, 21 branches.
From a single Tacoma storefront in 1946 to a four-state footprint today, with Utah on the way, here's how we grew year by year. Scroll to explore.
To the team at Tacoma Screw,
After towing two Triumph motorcycles all the way from Atlanta, Georgia, to Billings, Montana, for what would become an unforgettable ride through the Beartooth Highway and Yellowstone National Park, our adventure almost came to a screeching halt before it even began.
As we unloaded the bikes, I discovered that a critical screw was missing from one of them, a small part with the potential to turn a dream trip into a very expensive sightseeing tour.
Fortunately, while staying at the La Quinta Inn off I-90, I noticed a Triumph dealership less than a mile away. Problem solved, right? Well, almost. The dealership didn't have the screw I needed, but they pointed me to Tacoma Screw, also conveniently located less than a mile from the hotel.
That's where I met Heather. Heather didn't just help me find a screw, she saved an entire motorcycle trip. She immediately understood what I needed, found the correct part, and then went one better by giving me several options to choose from. Her knowledge, professionalism, and willingness to help transformed a stressful situation into a quick and easy fix.
Because of Heather, we were able to hit the road, ride the incredible Beartooth Highway, explore Yellowstone, and complete the adventure exactly as planned. The trip was a huge success, and we're now safely back home in Georgia with memories that will last a lifetime.
It's amazing how something as small as a missing screw can threaten a trip, and equally amazing how one person can make all the difference.
A heartfelt thank you to Heather and Tacoma Screw. You may have supplied a simple screw that day, but what you really delivered was peace of mind, a rescued vacation, and a great story to tell.
From two grateful riders from Georgia, thank you for being the heroes of our Montana adventure!
