Privacy Policy
Covers tacomascrew.com, our email, the Tacoma Screw mobile apps, and Bolt, the AI assistant. Explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the privacy rights available to you.
We are updating three of the documents that govern this website and our sales to you. Each new version is linked below, with a plain summary of what changed. Nothing is required of you, and the versions currently in force stay in effect until December 7, 2026.
Each document has been rewritten for accuracy against how we actually do business today, including our mobile apps and the AI assistant on our website. The summaries below are plain language. The full document is what governs.
Everything on this page takes effect on December 7, 2026. Until then, the policies in force are the ones listed under Prior versions.
Now covers the website, our email, the Tacoma Screw mobile apps, and Bolt, the AI assistant. A new section explains what the assistant collects, how long a conversation is kept, and what happens when your question is passed to a person.
We state how long we keep each kind of record, and we extend the same privacy rights to every US resident rather than only to residents of states that require them. We do not sell your personal information.
Returns now have a time limit. Requests must be made within 90 days of the invoice date, with an approval path for exceptions. Defective product, items shipped in error, and warranty claims are not affected by this limit.
Claims now have deadlines. Report shortages and concealed damage within 14 days of receipt, and billing or pricing discrepancies within 30 days of the invoice date.
We have added standard terms on warranty, liability, and when an order is accepted, which our previous version did not address. These limit what we are responsible for, so they are worth reading.
Claims may only be brought individually, not as part of a class or representative action.
We also state the returned check fee, how payments are applied, and what is required to set an account tax exempt. We removed two provisions that did not reflect how we do business: a security interest in goods sold, which we have never exercised, and a quantity variance allowance for machined parts, since customers receive the quantity ordered.
Now covers the mobile apps and the AI assistant alongside the website. Adds terms on account security, acceptable use, intellectual property, and product information, and sets out the limits of our liability for the site itself.
It also explains that nothing the AI assistant says is a quote, a price or availability commitment, or engineering advice, and provides that claims may only be brought individually rather than as part of a class or representative action.
Each document is published in full on its own page, readable without signing in.

Governs the purchase and sale of products: pricing, quotations, orders, returns, claims, payment and credit, shipping, and warranty. Applies however you order, whether online, by phone, at a branch, or through a sales representative.
Governs your use of our website, our mobile apps, and the AI chat assistant: account security, acceptable use, intellectual property, product information, and the limits of our responsibility for the site itself.
The version of the Conditions of Sale in effect on the date we accept your order is the version that applies to that order. Orders we accept before December 7, 2026 are governed by the current conditions. Orders we accept on or after that date are governed by the new ones, including orders placed against a quotation issued earlier.
You can tell us now not to sell or share your personal information for advertising, and we will honor a Global Privacy Control signal sent by your browser. To make any other privacy request, including access, correction, or deletion, write to [email protected] or call 1-800-562-8192.
These are the policies in effect until December 7, 2026. We keep a dated copy of every version, so you can always find the terms that applied on the date of your order. If you need one we have not posted, ask and we will send it.
If anything on this page is unclear, or you need a copy of the terms that applied to a past order, reach out and we will sort it out.
